About Brockton Hospital School of Nursing

The Brockton Hospital School of Nursing (BHSON) is a private, co-educational institution of nursing education that is an integral part of Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Founded in 1897, BHSON has a prestigious reputation in nursing education and remains the only hospital-based nursing school in the state of Massachusetts. BHSON has graduated over 2,700 nurses, mainly from southeastern Massachusetts.

Our 2023 pass rate for first-time test takers was 93%. This is higher than the average rate in the state (92%), the national total average (89%), the national diploma program average (89%), the national associate degree program average (88%), and the national baccalaureate degree program average (90%).
